Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role, she won an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of 11. She was the second-youngest winner in Oscar the history of Oscars. Canadian actress, and New Zealander, who, as a kid won an Academy Award in 1993 for the best support actress. The actress played the fierce girl who played Holly Hunter's character in The Piano. The character of Flora McGrath - the daughter to the Scottish muffled pianist from New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won at an audition open to all. In her twenties the actress had any experience in acting. In her teens she emigrated from New Zealand to United States. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. Also, she was a leading part as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a movie from the year. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a lesser character. She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
